What Say BITOG on Choice of New Dishwasher to Get?

I can tell you which one NOT to get....Kenmore. I replaced the pump in my last one after 6 months and when it was less than a year old it was leaking water all over the floor from the bottom of the door.

Are you all changing oil on cars not driven?

Due to being on home lockdown for weeks or maybe months, when are you changing oil? (Other than changing oil because you are bored) Now or waiting until things are back to normal and we are all driving cars again? Right now my Sienna van has about 3,500 miles on 7 month old regular ol'...

Seal swelling - Synthetic oil vs. Conventional

I have been running PPHM for 30,000 miles (7k OCI) in a 2007 G6 GTP 3.6. Had no leaks at a about 100,000 miles. Now it has blue smoke at start up. I'm thinking maybe it didn't really need High Mileage oil and this could have caused leak issues with the valve seals, allowing oil into the...

Online parts vs local.Story with a rant.

You (ragtoplvr) think you can treat them like that and gain new customers? You want to charge more and have terrible customer service skills. You will be closing up shop in no time. lol

    Use 5W30 instead?

Will it hurt anything to use 5W30 in a 4 cy Rav4 that calls for 0W20 or 5W20. Concerned that maybe the 5W30 get too thick to travel to all parts of the engine. My other cars use 5W30 and will just be easier to keep one kind of oil on hand, if completely safe to do so.

    Weird and ungrateful customers

The shop I used to work in had a rule of 100% markup on all parts under $100. So if we bought an air filter for $20, I sold it for $40.00 Any part that cost us over $100 had at least a 50% markup, except tires. Tires had a special pricing matrix.

    Formula Shell

How does Formula Shell (5W30) compare to the other conventional oils? Read on here from some old posts that the formula has been changed a few times over the years. Any idea how it is now and OCI for a 2007 GM 6 cy 3.6? Oil life monitor would have me leave it in over 10,000 miles, but...
