    Honda Accord question

I bought my 2006 Accord V6 6MT coupe EX-L when it was 2 years old with 51K miles on it. It has served me well and still going strong. The only problem I had was the central lock actuator that cost me $250-300 fixed by dealer and shifting to 3rd gear issue (won't go in all the way and kick...

Recommend me oil filter for Honda

I just check Wix website. It says Wix (white can) is good for 3000 miles but it seems that people been running it much longer, 5-8000 miles, about double. I haven't seen/heard of any torn media on Wix/NG. Anyone else seen otherwise?

Thanks for the input folks... In the old thread, it appears some people/cars take a little longer for the oil light to go off. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3054959 Do I need to be concern about this?

Recommend me oil filter for Honda

Hi all, I've been out of the loop for 3-5 years now. I've been using yellow can Pure1 for my 2006 Accord V6. At the time, it was one of the better one as far as filtering, quality and price. Thus, I stock up plenty when AAP had big discount. Now on top of my Accord, I have 2013 Civic 1.8. They...

    Fuel Mileage with Ethanol Added?

I did some research for graduation paper back in the days on alternative fuel. For E10 sold at the pump, it never has 10% of ethanol. Usually about 5-8% depends on the season. In summer, it’ll be about 7 -7.5% most of the time. And, in the winter, it’ll be about 5-6%. The alcohol content is...

Used Camry Hybrid - Metro city use = Double MPG

Calculation is a little flawed. You used 15mpg when rated as 21mpg which mean you only get about 71.4% of what's rated. If all translated well, you would be getting 71.4% of 33mpg rated, which is about 23.6mpg 10,000 miles @ 23.6mpg x $3.50/gal = $1483. The annual savings is about $850

    Fumoto drain valve

I love mine, make live lot easier. As other said, there'll some left over but insignificant. Also forget about the clip, it's useless. it's not springy at all, requires tools and if you open it too far it won't return to its supposed state and become garbage. I highly recommend using twist tie...
