    Motul fully synthetic 20W50.

it's for my R, and while it might not need anything more.. after paying $18K+ for it, I don't mind sparing no expense on the best possible oil. I had heard the ester based oils were the best, and so it's Motul and Redline, right? And the dealer doesn't carry Redline.

    Motul fully synthetic 20W50.

Anyone have experience with this oil? Anyone have an analysis of it after an interval? How does it hold up in moderate climate and moderately aggressive riding? Thinking of using this stuff, but at $18/quart at the local dealer, it's not something I want to jump into without checking out all...

Castrol TWS 10W-60 in older BMW Bikes?

sorry about the old thread but this came up in a google search... Been using TWS 10W60 on my new R1200R for a week now... amazing results. Seems to run better than on the 20W50... quieter valve train, smooth acceleration became even smoother... Runs about one bar cooler on the temps, and gives...

    BMW R1200R (boxer) and Schaeffers 5w-40 (9000).

sorry to hi-jack my own thread.... but I also happen to have 4 quarts of TWS 10W60 (the stuff BMW insists you use on their M cars)... what about using the stuff? It's $15/quart to buy and I have 4 of them in my garage.. This stuff is supposed to be made of the best German synthetic stock and has...

    BMW R1200R (boxer) and Schaeffers 5w-40 (9000).

then if I live in moderate climate, rarely gets below 25F, then should I go with a 10-50, and skip on the 5W?

Ok, I've got a 2012 R1200R that hit 3000 miles and isn't' burning oil anymore... I managed to seat the rings with good break-in technique. I'm wanting to switch the bike to synthetic and have several gallons of Schaeffers 9000 series (API CJ-4) in my garage that I use on my BMW car as well as...

Yeah, the new Dodge will be sweet!! Had it been out when I bought in Oct, that would have been a whole different game. This stiff competition makes for 3 great trucks. If I were rich, I'd have all 3.
