Diesel Fuel Additive shows 5%+ Fuel Savings

Thanks. Someone passed it on to me, would be a shame not to share. However, the whole 65 page report was a bit much. Get a bit technical for me... maybe something to read on a rainy day. ha ha ha.

Diesel Fuel Additive shows 5%+ Fuel Savings

Well the only place I see they sell it online is at [non-sponsor sales link removed]. Which they have it listed as $7.99 for a 12oz bottle. If you do the math thats about 95 gallons at a 1:250 treat rate. Or $.08 a gallon to treat. But, the price for a quart is $12.91 from a local rep, the...

    Schaeffer's Grease

Who makes it? And NO, it is not Schaeffer's, it is a FACT they are NOT a manufacturer of their own grease. They are just a relabeler. Anyone have some knowledge of who makes it? I do know there is a major grease manufacturer in St. Louis and since Shaeffer's is right there I would assume thats...

    Green grease!

Some funny readings on that tech data sheet. Scar test is 0? Thats not even possible. 4 ball tests are pass and 800+kg... um yeah, thats what the 4 ball test is, 800 kg of pressure... Who did these tests??? It looks like they gave a 5th grader an instruction sheet and let him do the tests and...

    flush and fill with what?

ATF = Wrong choice. There are a couple companies with flushing agents. Hydrotex makes a Hydraulic System flush. I am guessing there are a few other hydraulic flushing agents out there also.

Are Synthetic Gear and Hydraulic oils worth it?

I recently used Hydrotex's Hydro-Syn EP 80W-140 in my Jeeps front and rear diffs and its quieter and smoother than ever. Never going back to conventional. Give synthetic a go on your Jeep.

    Air compressor oil

White sludge is water emulsion in the oil. Try the [censored] that says compressor oil on the bottle... they really do make it for a reason. Edit: Looks like Tom already got to this. And he is right about the different additive package in compressor oil. But may have forgot that some contain...

    Viscosity selection for lubricants

Has anyone considered a high speed grease? If the bearing is not sealed, grease would provide a barrier for condensation and grit getting in as well as lubricate well in bearing with a couple thousand RPM. Not sure how much of a shock load whipping a yo-yo down is, but may provide that type of...

    Purple oil?

Most high quality oils are very light amber when they start out, get a bit darker when they have the additive package added, then color is added. In the case of the highest quality oils, they start out completely clear. This means they have zero impurities in them. The best base oils make the...

anybody run a shot of seafoam every tank?

No, its safe. And is good for your fuel system. With continued use it will keep your injectors clean as well as break down some of the particles in your fuel filter that may have been restricting fuel flow.

And just out of curiosity... what exactly do you think I could sell him?
