    Turbo Charger Photos

Q: Do the Ford turbos pictured at the top of the OP resemble those used in 2014-2017 Volvos? Ford owned Volvo during this time.

    235/60r15

No Dunlop 235/60/15. And that's the company that brought you the D60-A2 line (all 60 series)

Jeep Chrystler ATF +4 vs Valvoline Maxlife

I've absolutely no exposure to the subject applications. Odd, as I know enough Mopar freaks. I suppose their cars didn't leak....or shift badly. However, I've read nothing but consistent advice to use ATF+4 when called for. If it's easily obtainable and costs no more, you have no reason to...

    Bugs.....

There's a boat load of suitable products out there. My Fave: Mom's '91 Taurus in "Platinum" (aka Putty) was driven through liquid dairy cow poo in the Summer. It'd stick to the lower body like nobody's business. Orange bottle Nu-Finish, daubed on and let to dry, matched the paint and washed...

    ACDelco PF63 C&P

An appropriate blue ACDelco emblazoned tee shirt is what I'd wear at a car fest.

    A pellet rifle? I'm surprised.

Today 25 APR 2024 is ANZAC day.

Thanks for that GON. I never heard of ANZAC. Seriously, with all the great and infamous dates in history, I wish they'd dump "Milkshake Day" and other such fluff and populate a calendar with dates such as the one you just posted. Plus, a little education to more fully understand what happened...

What caliber is that target rifle?

Can I mix oil viscosity and brand?

Mowers aren't picky. The generator is a piece of gear you might want to keep within spec given the likelihood of a cold Winter start up. Yes you can "sneak dribble" your leftovers into your oil changes/top-offs.

    GM 8 speed Transmission Flush

To Bud_One: You said, "Our...eight vehicles with this 8 speed transmission. ... three {went} out at roughly 120k-130k miles . As a precautionary measure...flush every 30k miles . I think it's a good plan..." What you posted is worth WAY MORE than 2 cents.

Best toilet for my new house?

Without regard to brand (which is important) the most surprising thing I have learned is that some have fully glazed throats to reduce friction / improve efficiency. Some are not glazed and are less efficient. Who knew? And, obviously, repair part availability is crucial.

    Spark Plug

A neighbor -a true 'boat guy' from birth- is a Coast Guard instructor. When Anti-Seize came up, he said, "We put it on everything"

any place to go to check if tires are balanced?

Darn few of them. HURTS: There was a garage near me which had a balancer which featured a crank the tech turned to set to the rims' width. He's measure the width at the beads with a caliper. Perfect results every time. $5 per. The old garage sold out and a new, slick service station with...

    Ozone machine alternatives

Year, make, model and mileage, please. For the many occasions interior odors come up, it's funny there appears to be no "data base" of vehicles which are more prone to collecting water or otherwise generating smells. Does the OP's vehicle have a sunroof? Leakage in the draining system could...

Goodyear Reliant Tires for the kid

OK, so it sounds like you gotta get well manufactured ones. Be prepared to 'go back'. If the mileage sagas in post #17 are representative, a thoughtful driver might see 50,000 miles. A second set might be a great graduation present!

Unknown brand filter C&P; 20K miles

You're saying there's a chance you will? If it's a customer, they likely don't know they have a thoughtful and engaged mechanic. Whenever I chat with someone about their newer vehicle, I always mention that they should avoid the "bargain oil change" and get it done right. I immediately know...
