Just keep track of the gas mileage, oil pressure, water temperature, and perceived "get up and go" to see if the 20w50 makes any difference compared to the recommended oil.

I've used it in a few of my cars. Even way back when it was called Tech2000. No problems whatsoever. As long as you change the oil in a reasonable interval, it'll do just fine.

Self storage units. The outdoor kind. People pay you to let them use your facility, and if they stop paying you, you can auction off their stuff. Not a lot of upkeep, or supplies to buy once the building(s) are erected. You could also sell moving supplies and maybe rent trucks and dollies.
