I will only be using the tools a few times a year at most. The tools won't be doing any heavy duty work. Thanks for the advice.

Well thicker doesn't flow well. I would not use 20w-50. Maybe a monograde 30 is more to your liking?

Did not know that, but it doesn't change the fact that you are guessing. Also, no need to change the oil hot. Your body is more important than your engine. Oil doesn't have to be hot, just warm enough. 10-15 minute drive is sufficient imo.
