What oil to run with MMO?

Lower priced SAE 30 Pennzoil would work well in Texas.

What oil to run with MMO?

Why not forget the MMO and just try the Pennzoil Platinum for about 5000 miles? That should clean the engine up inside.

    Castrol Edge 5w-30

Group 3,4 or 5? Anybody know? I was thinking of giving it a try since it is on sale at Advance.

    Dodge 5.2 and oil.

Unless you plan to do extended OCIs I would stick to good old Pennzoil Yellow Bottle 10w-30 and a quality filter.

    Opinions on running SuperTech Synthetic

I'd rather go to Wal Mart and spend $20 on a 5-quart jug of Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30.

Worn out or low on oil?

I was coming out of Wal Mart tonight and there was this older lady starting her minivan. She started it and it had a very loud tick. Much louder than a dry start tick. I went over to her and asked her when the last time she checked her oil was. She said it had been a long time. I noticed the...

5w-20 or 0w-30 for a car that has only seen 5w30?

Stick with the 5w-30. Pennzoil Platinum would be my choice.

Goin' Back to 10W30 in my 60's Muscle Car

My only concern would be the low zinc and phosphorous levels with these stiffer valve springs and flat tappet cams. I would add some STP if you don't want to run a high performance oil.

    Pennzoil Synthetic Platnum Questions

It's a good oil. My local Walmart sells a five quart jug for $20. My question is do you have a flat tappet cam in the Camaro? If you do and have no cat. convs. you might want to try Brad Penn racing oil or Valvoline VR-1. Good amount of anti-wear agents in there.

    Mobil 1 filters

Are they still a good filtering filter? Which would you choose between it and the Fram Extented Guard? Are the Pure Ones and K&N better choices?

Quaker State racing oil from 1976

Oils have come a long way since 1976. Do you want to jeopardize the thousands of dollars you have in a blown alcohol engine?

    pics of old cans

I like the Golden Shell, Archer, And Pennsylvania Oils. Those are what I's run if we were back in the days of SA oils. Speaking of which, a few years back I visited a machine shop which was owned by and older guy. He certainly had money judging by his new house and new cars. The unique thing...

    RB30DET Damaging bearings???

I'm no expert but have you ever thought of switching to Valvoline VR-1 20w-50 or Brad Penn Racing 20w-50?

    Brad Penn Racing Oil

Brad Penn Racing Oil is a quality product. Go to www.bradpennracing.com and read Tom Hemphill's testimonial along with the other testimonials. I personally use the 40 wt. in my Street/Strip 440.

Anyone ever use the napa 80w85w90 gear oil?

I've used it. It works fine. You'll never know the difference between the mineral-based 80w-90. Most 75w-90s seem to be synthetics nowadays. All Napa brand oils are made by Ashland Oil Co.(Valvoline)
