Mercon LV UOA 57k Ford Transit 250 EB with 6r80 trans

I trusted the Ford maintenance schedule on our Transit van and was waiting until 100,000 miles for a dealer flush and fill. The torque converter started shuddering at 75,000 miles. I didn't know what it was until about 100,000 miles when it got so bad that I had to investigate. Took it to the...

    OIL UDDER Q+A

Has anyone else's oil udder begun to dry rot? I've had mine for less than a year and it's noticeably cracking. I've only ever wiped it down after using. No cleaners or solvents used.

2020 Transit Connect Transmission fluid swap

I'm really sick of Ford and their "lifetime" transmission fluid claims. Lots of Ford Transit (not Connect) owners are experiencing a shudder from the torque converter. The shudder is being caused by old transmission fluid that owners don't change, because we follow the manufacturers recommended...

All that acid in RLI oil (Renewable Lubricants)

I know this is an old thread but this may have interest for some. I'm about to get an oil analysis done on some RLI that's been in my Honda Fit for over 25,000 miles -- an accidental, extra-long OCI. I've been averaging OCI's between 15 and 20k in my '07 Fit and '01 Odyssey with good UOA's from...

    Renewable Lubricants

I've run RLI in my 2007 Honda Fit since I purchased it and have been very happy with their performance. I'm running extended oil change intervals, between 15k and 20k miles, and the UOA reports always come back looking good. I stopped by their site recently to order some more oil but at their...

    Renewable Lubricants

Not sure if you've seen my UOA post, but I've got 13,000 miles on RLI 5w-20 in my '07 Honda Fit. I'll be changing it out shortly -- for some more RLI. I am, however, having a hard time finding a local distributor for RLI's products. There was one in Vienna but he no longer carries their...

I contacted Blackstone Labs and told them I'd entered the wrong viscosity for my oil sample. They very kindly updated my oil analysis with the correct information. Below is the updated analysis.

Thanks! I was happy with the results. Looking for opinions on the TBN. How long would you guys run this oil?

Additional info: I'm running an Amsoil Ea filter and changed the air filter @ 10,000 miles.

This a follow-up to my first post, Factory fill, Honda Fit, first oil change. Our Fit has 17,700 miles on it and this fill has 12,900 miles. I'll probably go ahead and change it at 15,000 (oil miles).

    2000 Civic, Amsoil Series 2000 0w30, 25,000 miles

Regarding extended intervals, if Paul ran his oil for 25k miles and the universal averages are based on a 6k interval, can't he divide his results by 4? His values are x-ppm over 25k miles and the average is y-ppm over 6k miles, wouldn't you assume the elements accumulate at a somewhat linear...
