I would be surprised if the tranny was actually dry without oil at all. Probably low and needed a fill. Certainly better to keep it up to the full mark.

On many cars after a strut replacement you will need a wheel alignment.

There is also a higher temperature rated Teflon tape which is a yellow colour. Used on say hot water fittings. Although the white tape would probably be sufficient I have used the yellow tape. Be careful not the run the tape over the end of the bolt as you may then get some tape inside.

I've heard of cases where this type of intake airflow device actually gave worse economy than standard.

But is it worth the extra cents per litre? Optimax is already 10c/Ltr above unleaded and the Extreme is say an extra 3cents (maybe more).
