    Motul 300V Competition 5W40

I have not seen anything from Motul on a recommended drain interval. I can say that I did a UOA after 2,000 miles, which included 5 track days, and that the oil could have gone longer before being changed. Over on Rennlist there are comments that 3,000 miles of mixed street/track is OK.

Motul 300V Competition 5W40, 2K miles and 5 Track Days, Audi TTS

This is getting out of my depth on this. Here is all I know:

Motul 300V Competition 5W40, 2K miles and 5 Track Days, Audi TTS

The top-off oil was added after the last track day, so near the end of the interval.

Motul 300V Competition 5W40, 2K miles and 5 Track Days, Audi TTS

This UOA is for a 2017 Audi TTS with a stage 1 tune, used both street and track. The same oil was left in for consecutive UOA's: 1K miles and 2 track days, and an additional 1K miles and 3 more track days. The onle notable change in the oil was the increasing TAN, which measured 3.7 on the VOA...

    Motul 300V Competition 5W40

This is the newest 300V 5W40. Recognized as a top racing oil, but I will be using it for combined street and track (HPDE). No mfr or API approvals, but Motul claims it provides LSPI protection, is compatible with E85, and is compatible with particulate filters. Data sheet: cSt @ 100C 13.5 (does...

    '16 Golf R Stage 3 Motul Sport 5-50 & 5-40 Blend ~3.7k miles

According to Motul, Motul Sport is now Motul 8100 Power. Sport will no longer be available. Looking at the Power data sheet, it now meets API SP, but it looks like there are some other differences. Looks like it is time to either start the analysis thread anew, or move on (to M1 or other).

2017 Audi TTS, Tuned, Track use, 4.4K miles OCI, Motul Sport 5W40

This Audi TTS is Stage 1 tuned on pump gas. Running HPDE days and seeing higher oil temps, I was looking for a 5W40 that started with cST100 and HTHS farther above the minimum range specs. Motul Sport 5W40 specs are 14.4 cST and 4.0 HTHS ( the top-ups were with Motul Sport 5W50 just because the...

    Got bored. Installed K&N filter.

Real-world data, similar to what TiGeo has posted. K&N oiled flat panel filter dropped into the stock airbox. This is mixed street and track use on a single filter over the past year. Track driving (12 events) has been on hot days, rainy days, and through the occasional cloud from oil-absorbant...

    LM Leichtlauf 5W-40 Newer Formula

Dude, I am so lazy that I don't even take out the track pads every time.🤪

    LM Leichtlauf 5W-40 Newer Formula

The Leichtlauf would have been an excellent choice until it was changed in 2020, but not so sure now. It would be interesting to know if any VAG LiquiMoly teams are currently running this, or have moved on to their Synthoil Race Tech GT1 10W-60. I see in their press release that the Engstler...

    LM Leichtlauf 5W-40 Newer Formula

Thinking about this, and agree with posts here that this new formula Leichtlauf is just too thin for track use. I also note that the cST 100 C dropped a lot more from it's data sheet level after use than the prior formula did, so it looks like there is more going on here. Since this car is not a...

    LM Leichtlauf 5W-40 Newer Formula

The new data sheet (Pl 45/14/10/2020) for LiquiMoly Leichtlauf 5W-40 shows that it is thinner than previously. The cST100 C is 12.9 (was 14.0) and cST 40 C is 70 (was 80.5). It has picked up the BMW LL01 approval, along with VW 502, Porsche A40, MB 229.5, etc. The UOA also shows the addition of...

What oil temps would require a more viscous grade?

My Audi occassionally hits 275 F on hot track days. I just stay with the 5W-40 that has VW 502 approval. No issues, but I do change it at 3500 miles or 6 track days.
