Retired at 66 on the button. My company called be back 8 months later to do part-time work. Which isn’t anything stressful but gives me about 15 hrs a week in the morning at desert pay. Can’t travel MIL Alzheimer’s.
I have the same car and yr. After reading all the subi UOA and looking at MrSubaru1987(I think that’s what it’s called) I went with Pennzoil plat 5w30. They had a rebate. The car is used by my wife for very short trips 1 mile work, shopping visits. And then 1 50 mile round trip per wk. car is...
I went as low as 18% 6100 miles on GM1.5t had the oil tested by BS, came back great TBN above 3 all wear numbers were low. And I did 3 test with different oils, I probably could go to 5-10% per BS recommendations.

I have a 20 Equinox 1.5T and have tested Pennzoil, RP and Valvoline EP all on 0w20 grade all in 6000 mile range and all came back fine with BS suggest go to 8000 miles or down to 5%. I really think you can use either 20 or 30 grade. EU engines until I believe a yr or 2 ago were 30 grade.
