I have a 1992 Fleetwood Motorhome with a 4500 watt Onan generator. I need to change the oil and am looking for a recommendation. Specifically, is todays SM oils with reduced antiwear additives sufficient, or should I use a HD oil.

Shell Rotella-T 5w-40 would be an excellent choice for cold winter or hot summer usage.

Rotella 5W-40, Amsoil ACD, Amsoil ASE or good old Pennzoil HD-30.

The above post is from the Amsoil site. Make sure you buy from one of our sponsors. I have it and intend on running in a lawnmower next season.
