Our wrecker at work has a aftermarket fuel filter/water seperator paired with the extra capacity fuel tank, and the filter that's on it is a Donaldson P92 0711. I've tried to cross this into Wix or Hastings to no avail. I'd like to be able to run a Wix filter that could be obtained locally from Carquest or NAPA rather than having to order them from a diesel injection shop which is a half hour away and doesn't deliver to the shop. Even if there's a way to physically take the dimensions of this filter and get a Wix filter that's close and would fit just fine, that'd work too. I don't care if it's an inch or two longer or shorter, just so it's the proper threads and gasket diameter and will get the job done.

Thanks,
Mike

Filtermart has a replacement ..$$

Donaldson doesn't appear to give the gasket specs. If you can spin off your filter and measure ..you can see what works.

After a little more extensive search of the Don-site. There are only 3 filters using the 1 1/4-12 thread that are FF/WS.

Good luck and kindly share your success with the others on the board. [Smile]

I think you might be out of luck trying to cross that SPECIFIC number.
I did a search (I kind of like a challenge) and came up with a link to this PDF manual-(864k)

http://www.mantiscranes.com/Customer_Support/Manuals/8010_Operators_Manual.pdf

It lists that Donaldson PN in the replacement filter section on page 49.
For some filters, it lists other brands. Not for that one however.

Looks like it's time for plan "B".

Here's a Baldwin in the same thread:

Replaces : Cummins 3309437
Thread : 1 1/4-12
O.D. : 4 11/16 (119.1)
Length : 12 3/32 (307.2)
I.Gskt : [1] Included
Related to : BF596 (Fuel Version)

You should be able to tell by the image if the gasket is anywhere near yours.
This works at filtermart for about $39

Here are the Wix version of the BF596 (fuel only)

Number O.D. I.D. Thk.

It does look like you're stuck if you require a FF/WS filter.
