Filtering media is supposedly the same. PureOne has silicone rubber bits while the Bosch has the 'regular' stuff. No grippy paint on the Bosch, either.

Best information tested and posted here (see links below) says with the exception of the can, they are identical. Based on that, and same efficiency rating, it is my belief too.

The ADBV in my Bosch Premium is silicone. Same with my P1.

Thank you barlowc. I have mostly used Mobil 1 oil filters thinking of switching to purolater pureone tho.

I like the Bosch...for just aesthetic reasons. Yellow filters are ugly.

Bosch can seems a lot thicker, doesn't cave in as easily as the P1. IMHO better in a location that could get hit by gravel or stray road debris.

Oops, indeed that's the case. Just the O-ring is black rubber.

My Subaru uses a filter that does not have an ADBV so I forgot that little detail. smile
