Thought I would post a step by step of a kleenoil bypass filter change.
You can do the whole service with the engine running. This is just a 250 hr bypass filter change and sample pull. No make-up oil was required. This application is a CAT C-7 in a Pete. The oil is Chevron DELO 400 LE 15w40. The oil has @ 1500 hrs of run time.
I'm not a fan of messes so I like to make things clean and easy. I will post the sample results once the come back.
Purge the sample port then pull a sample:
Put a little air into the canister housing to put the oil back into the sump:
Remove the cap:
Install new seal-o-ring:
Install new bypass filter:
Re-install cap:
