Someone on another thread made mention of Fuchs Titan GT1 0w20. I am aware that this is an ester based full syn.

Does anyone know, or have experience with, Fuchs Titan Supersyn SL MB 5w30 and/or Supersyn SL longlife plus 0w30 ? Are they full synthetic or Group 3 ?

Thanks.

Their Group III stuff is generally labelled 'MC' for 'Molecularly Converted', and anything labelled synthetic is either PAO or ester, at least that's what I was told....

The reply :

Fuchs Titan Supersyn SL MB 5W30 and Long Life Plus 0W30 are both full PAO ester synthetic products.
However the MB 5W30 has been removed from the range due to an upgrade in the specifications, which coincidentally has been upgraded to the LL plus 0W30 spec.

This product carries official approvals from OEMs

Thanks to Fuchs for this info

c. Titan GT1 0W20 performance level is very much higher: Lower oil's friction drag, higher shear and temperature stability, very high lubricity, the viscosity is lighter/thinner therefore better flow-rate and cooling rates due to higher oil circulation within the engine. Refer to the attached folder or technical specification about the Titan GT1 0W20.
Question no.3: Titan GT1 0W20 seems to be very thin oil, can be used in Singapore climate?.
a. Titan GT1 0W20 can be use in and under Singapore's climate with no problem, it depend a lot on the conditions of the car or vehicle. Titan GT1 0W20 is recommended for newer and mechanically sound cars only. It is not recommended for cars that consume oil or the internal engine's components are worn out.
b. If you are using Titan GT1 0W20 the emphasis is also on the vehicle operating temperature and control. The higher the operating temperature, the higher the oil consumption. Vehicle with poor or worn oil pump and cooling system are not recommended to use Titan GT1 0W20.
c. If you are not sure (kaisu) about using Titan GT1 0W20, initially mix 50% of Titan GT1 0W20 with 50% of Silkolene Pro-S or GT1 Turbolene, SuperSyn 5W40 or 5W50 or Unic MC-Plus.
d. Titan GT1 0W20 have being tested on the Sepang race track for the 12 hours endurance race with not power loss, overheating, oil loss, and below the factory's recommended wear and tear on the engine's components.

Losiho, can you ask Fuchs once again about the "PAO ester" comment that you quoted above ?

That may be a very positive aspect of these lubricants !

Yes indeed! (You see, the Black Forest Elves mention a part of the family that moved to Mannheim....

I can certainly ask again Terry. I can only assume it's a PAO and Ester blend, and Motul says the same about ther 8100 synthetic line.

Whether the Fuchs rep will tell me the exact ratio of PAO/Ester is another thing

Fuchs titan 5w-40, 5w-50, 10w-30 GTO, PAO/Group 3 blend.
GT1 0w-20 easter and MB5w-30,0w-30 PAO/Ester.(Little bit of esters for oil seals.)

Fuchs Titan Supersyn 0W-30 ( http://www.opieoils.co.uk/pdfs/FUCHS - TDS/TITAN SUPERSYN SAE 0W-30.pdf ) is one of the best 0W-30 motor oil, like Motul 8100 X-lite 0W-30 ( http://www.motul-canada.com/en/products/...te_0W30_TDS.pdf and http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubb...true#Post959894 ) or Valvoline Synpower MXL 0W-30 (http://www.valvolineeurope.com/UploadedFiles/1914.pdf )

But different base oils(according to MSDSs):
1. Motul 8100 X-lite: group III + group IV (8..12%) + group V
2. Valvoline Synpower MXL 0W-30 : group IV + group V
3. Fuchs Titan SuperSync 0W-30 : group IV+ group V. There is very interesting information about group V base from russian web-site: http://www.fuchs-oil.ru/upload_files/90/32/h_6a8de449e84dc0dd45e4299f249590e1

That's why I am looking for another UOA's of these 3 motoroils!
