Needing new tires on the cruiser.

205/55/16

Would like a 1/2 point between performance and comfort/noise (quiet is a very good thing) All season too. It's my wifes car and she doesn't drive hard, but tends to take corners hard enough to see some wear on the outside of the tires.

Price is also an issue.

I just read some reviews on kumho ecsta. Seems decent according to reviews. I'd like some other options though.

I can get Toyo for buy 3 get 1 right now. How are they?

Unfortunately, I don't have a full subscription and don't know what their scoring process is like and what aspects they take into account and at what weight. And as we know, CR is good at some things, but not all things.

But there were quite a few similar threads here on the forum recently... maybe you'll find something.

Someone here has Yokohama TRZs on his PT and likes them a lot. I have them on my CRV. A lot depends on your driving style, but considering a PT Cruiser is a ...cruiser, the TRZ would be an EXCELLENT choice. Kumho ASX would be good if price is an issue and you want something sportier, but TRZ is worth the extra money.

Kumho KH-16 has a following here too. Yokohama H4S is a possibility, excellent handling. Consider Bridgestone G-009s, good handling again, good quality. A toss-up between G-009 and H4S. Frankly, TRZ would be the way to go. These other tires are more for a performance driver. Again, the two Kumhos would have the best price.
