Ha!!!!!!! I'd like to see the math on how Amsoil costs you thousands less in maintenance costs. It sure as heck can't for me when Chevron can be had at 59 cents a quart. And if Amsoil was more cost effective, the vast majority of heavy equipment/tractor trailer operators would use it. They don't!
You betcha, 'specially when data & facts are not available to back it up.
In the Paradise Garage/Spacebears Synthetic Oil Life Study , Amsoil ASL 5W-30 was run for 14,000 miles in an LS-1 Camaro.
What about this documented study indicates that an extended OCI with Amsoil ASL will harm any engine?

They must have missed the "one year" part of oil change interval recommended my Amsoil. Did they do 25,000 miles in 3 years or something? Sorry, but Amsoil's only gonna cause sludge if you get crazy with the length you run it or you have a mechanical problem in the engine.
When Pablo reads this thread I think steam will come from several of his orifices!
What make/model and oil change interval for the vehicles where you saw sludge?

let me guess: Chevy Lumina with the 3.1L, 25,675 mile interval/over 3 years!
Lets move on. After 5 years of Amsoil bashing and no substance I am personally tired of it.
