Some old ones now that we can post photos:

1994 SL in 2005

Valve cover gasket change, 169,500 miles, after two Auto-Rx cycles.

After RX rinse #1. Material in the can is not from opening the filter.

After RX clean phase #2

Water pump impeller comparison, OEM at 172,000 vs. aftermarket. The replacement pump lasted 22,500 miles.

Did the valvetrain ever clean up. It looks fairly dark compared to mine which is almost spotless. Currently at 164k miles. I do regularly use additives such as Rislone & MMO which may help.

Not that I could tell by looking through the oil fill. The black stuff was a crusty finish that probably would have come off with solvent and a plastic brush, but I didn't want to disturb it. The material in the oil filters was similar, a sort of black, gritty stuff.

The valve cover had one cleanish strip where the timing chain slung oil onto it. I don't know if that was because of the ARx, or just the fact of constant oil spray. I know the Rx did two things--cleaned black deposits off the dipstick, and stopped a leak around the manual transaxle shift linkage.

No such luck with oil consumption. It was using a quart every fillup by the time I got rid of it. Carmax gave me $500 as a trade-in.
