CV Axle brands

I have personally had 2 parts-store CV axles fail. One in an old Accord, one in a Toyota truck while out on the trail. Sheared shafts showed fracture surfaces reminiscent of cottage cheese.

I bought my car with both outer joints turn. I replaced the boots right after purchasing. The drivers side axle is still in perfect condition. The passenger side was making noise when I replaced the boot, so I eventually replaced it with an APWI axle from Rockauto. For as cheap as it is, it hasn't given me any trouble in about 4 years, aside from a boot I punctured myself.
