Can one assume that if the same DTC is shown both as pending and current, that can be considered as real hard DTC and it will NOT go away if you reset it? Well, at least that has been my experience so far :-( If there only DTC and no corresponding pending, then there is a chance that this was only a transient DTC and might not come back after erasing but if it is listed under pending too, then there is essentially no chance that this is a transient code. Resetting will bring it back up quite quickly.
