Greetings! Help with Oil Report on 5.0 mustang.

It might be a case of wrong oil for the application. A little thicker oil would probably bring those wear numbers way down.
 
First time using synthetic may have cleaned things up a bit. Especially if the car sits outside and isn't driven much. The MaxLife is fine for a 25 year old car. You could go for another UOA this summer after long hot drive. I'm betting the #'s would be lower. The "less timing" move should help too, any pre-ignition will increase cylinder & bearing wear. Stock air filter vs K&N will have minimal effect, but maybe a little.
 
With those low miles it had to sit for a long time, so perhaps with some consistent driving and getting it nice and hot, the crud will wash out. I've seen UOAs on here for vehicles that sat a long time, and they showed high Iron the first change.

IMO keep driving and try the same interval again with another UOA.
