Every vehicle have a screen?

Hello all, do all engines and transmissions contain a screen like Honda's do? I am slightly concerned for the long-term durability and reliability of screens since they seem to be a pain to get to. So, do Ford's, Chevy's, etc. all have screens in the engines and transmissions? Thank you all

I never saw one without but some are not replaceable without disassembling the unit.

They all have a filter of some sort.without one stuff would jam the pistons in the valve body

Okay. What about the filter in the transmission? Is that the same as the screen?

Like a pickup screen? Oil pumps do. Fuel pumps should have a sock.

Transmissions can have a felt like filter, or a screen. I have only seen the screens be metal. Engines normally have a heavy wire screen on the oil pump pick up tube.
Yes fuel pumps have a sock that is normally a plastic mesh.

To alleviate your concerns about a screen clogging up. Use good quality fluid, and run a Magnifine filter. There are other external trans filter set ups as well.
