Stopped and got some valvoline 20w50 4t for my atv and seen these. The latest date was 2009 unless I was reading the code wrong.

The funky bottle doesn't even say sopus on it.

Wonder how that formulation compares to today's pennzoil platinum?

The Napa near my house has that same Pennzoil for the newer Platinum price too. It was API SM and 2009 also. Ridiculous.

Doesn't look like much of a clearance either. I would guess some of those are close to 8 or 10 years old

I have yet to see any clearance items or even decent sale items at the Auto Zone near me in the past couple of years. really pricey oil across the board IMO

I have seen such oils in K-mart stores. A locally owned Carquest has Pennzoil Performax SJ synthetic.
