LubeGard Transmission Additives - Which One?

I have to respectfully disagree with that, multiple OE TSB's specify this product (LG Red) by name that were newer and under warranty to correct noise and shudder issues.
These units had fresh fluid and not neglected but had shudder anyway. I think it has a lot to do with the type of material used in the TQ clutch plate(s).

Not unlike those in a differential in as much that not all LS fluid works 100% with all of them without the use of an additional additive in certain ones to prevent chatter.
The use of the LS additive in no way shortens the life of the clutch packs, in fact it increases it.
The OP has shudder and there is no guarantee just doing a complete fluid exchange will take care of it, a lot of 4R100 units suffer this ailment also when they have the high plate count towing option.

+1 on not using conversion fluids.

If this Merc tranny has had shudder for 101,000 mile there may be nothing that can fix it short or replacing the TCC.

Shudder Fix may only be a temporary fix at best.
