Will PAG based oil ever make it into the automotive oil market as engines become smaller in displacement and higher in specific output and expected to last longer?

A PAG based oil might lubricate better especially transferring heat better and a UOA could be accomplished by tracking just the AN.

Every PAG oil I've heard of (refrigeration oils) sucks up moisture like a sponge-that's a bad feature for an IC engine oil.
