If I'm not mistaken, the TA71 is the replacement for the old LX Platinum. That tire was a very good bread and butter tire for Kumho for several years, so I would imagine this new one would be better and would likely sway me if they were going on a M35 and included a rebate.
I've owned General tires and for the most part I think they're good but I wouldn't necessarily ascribe the almost fanboy praise to them that they've gotten here. The RT43 is a nice tire but, like a lot of things, it might not work as well in your application...for which I think the TA71 might work better.
