Its the 75th anniversary of the Sturgis motorcycle rally this year. The population of South Dakota is 830k to 850k. Visitors to Sturgis this year are expected to number in the range of one to one and a half million, effectively doubling the population for the next few weeks!

I imagine thats why I've seen guys riding Harleys with a sleeping bag rolled up on the handlebar.
Do you think any of those riders will by flying the battle flag?
On the way to Sioux Falls Saturday, 120 miles, my daughter counted about 1900 bikes. Just those she could see riding and on open trailers. There were numerous enclosed trailers and other vehicles that were no doubt loaded with bikes.
Lying in bed, you can hear the constant hum of motorcycles from the interstate about two miles away.

I was going to say, it's the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Trailer Rally. I rode there once, back in '01, and it was traffic jam of trailers getting there, and then a traffic jam of bikes, once they unloaded and rode the last 5 miles into town.
From what I've heard from people that have to go for work obligations, it has only gotten worse since then.
