Which mount you talkin' about?
The belt change/motor mount nightmare was a GM 'N' and 'L' car thing with 3100 and 3300 V6, after the addition of the 4 speed automatic (IIRC).
FWIW the mount has to come off the Chevy Cruze to change the belt, but it looks easy enough.
Trav -- what's that thing going across the belt by the water pump pulley?
The mount runs at the side of the belt not across it. I believe from the picture that it is part of the coil pack module bracket.

Interesting, I don't have that mount on my LeSabre. I got 3 mounts for the transmission and 1 mount for the engine. They're all positioned down low; nothing up high like that Lucerne.
Its not an engine mount, its a ignition module mount from what i can tell. Its probably the same as yours.
Yeah I got an ignition module mount. Had to change that ignition module one day because it was firing only 2 out of 3 coils.
I had to take it out for my 3.4 in my Equinox. Similiar engine to the 3.1/3.4/3.8 family. Without really looking I cant say for sure if you need to for a 3.4
The 3.4 is in no way related to the 3.8, its not even similar other than its a V6.

I thought the 4.3 V6 was the only 90 degree V6 that GM was using at the time.
