V0-33, 2014 Focus 6,009 (CUT OPEN)

Good evening folks. Here we have a v0-33 filter from a 2014 Focus, 6,009 miles on VWB and this filter. The VWB did some cleaning I say. No tears, looks o.k. To me

Well, no markings of "country of origin" so your guess is good as mine Mike. Maybe Driveworks or....

I would agree, it did some cleaning indeed! Surely that brand new focus isnt already a sludger (thats the way it looks from here.)

How many miles do you have on your 2014 Focus?
What OCI's did you run that would cause it to get dirty?

I ask because I have a 2014 also.

6000 miles on Valvoline conventional.. looks about right

That should have a VO25 on it. Those are Chinese made filters with Valvoline numbers.

Beast3300, yeah 2013-+ or up have a shield and it was not touching this long filter. I would have put at least the CORRECT filter on! ;(

Yeah, the shield wouldn't be a concern. The correct long filter is a 3600 or VO23. The Vo33 is a Nissan VG engine filter. Like the old 3.3L Nissan Pathfinder or ultra boxy Nissan Maxima 3L. Previous place I worked stocked that yellow filter. It is a repainted filter that many other names appear on. Not name brands.
