30 years last May with the same airline - Northwest/Delta. 20,000 hours or more. I quit counting a long time ago.

757guy:

The 747-400 is a GREAT jet ! IMHO, the finest jet that I flew in my 25 year career at NWA/DAL. She was the Queen of The Skies ! The -400's little brother, the 757, was a close runner up.

You were a few months senior to me at NWA. I was a Sept 84 hire. If you taught on the -400 from 1990-1996 you probably gave me instruction on it. I checked out as a 400 F/O in the Spring of 1993 and as a Capt in the Fall of 2000.

Remember the Sydney and Hong Kong layovers? The CC approach? Ako's and The Yellow Awning? The Sports Bar in NRT? The old breakfast place in OSA? Fun times being on the -400, particularly in the early-mid 1990's. My favorite -400 flight, NW 26, was my fini flight from NRT-DTW in Sept 2009, when I took early retirement. Miss the jet...but not the NOPAC or NAT crossings in it.

What time is changeover ?
