I think you have to get your news from multiple sources. I tend to go all over the spectrum from NPR and BBC World service to a local talk radio station and Fox News.
I have to admit I watch little news on the TV. It's mostly listening to the radio or reading stories on the web.
Just a few weeks ago, I was listening to someone on NPR talk about news bias and how it's not a bad thing, as long as you know the bias.
I think that's true. If you are looking to get an across the spectrum view, then you need to go to sources where you know how the editor leans.
Now there is a lot that passes for news and journalism that isn't. Look at how much speculation was passed off as news in the MH370 disappearance coverage.

I think that Rush Limbaugh brings up some good points about a lot of different things. I don't listen to him on the radio but I do check his website. If somebody brings up good points about something I don't think it should matter if that person is liberal or conservative. I consider myself kind of center of the road. In my personal experience in life I have found that usually the most extreme points of view on any subject, either left or right, are usually wrong.
Rush Limbaugh's website is one of the websites I regularly visit, along with some others. I try to get news and information from several different sources. For news I usually watch FOX News and I am impressed how they will often have a liberal person and a conservative person on to debate various things. But sometimes I will watch CNN. It seems that in some major incidents CNN sometimes has better coverage. And when we had forest fires and flooding in Colorado last year the major news organizations seemed to not be interested in covering what were major events in my area. So I watched the local news including ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX.
People need to be willing to open their minds up to other points of view.
