While at Rite Aid, I ran across the "automotive" section and found a really old high priced bottle of PYB. I think it was like SJ rated and like $6.99 a quart. The funny thing is that there were multiple designs and formulations of PYB all on the same shelf. However, I couldn't imagine who would stumble into a drug store and buy a quart of oil anyway.

That might sell well here, but $6 a quart for conventional won't fly. As an aside, one of our Walmarts has VR1 for cheaper than VWB. Go figure.

Our tsc here isn't that bad but several of the orschelns has several odd quarts as old as API sl. They had a couple cases of the original max life also.

That is a good point... Suffice it to say if i go to a drugstore to buy oil it is an emergency, and this 'old' oil will work in a pinch.

Other than gas stations the one that may open 24/7 are drug stores. Most auto parts stores are closed at around 9-10PM, if someone needs 1-2 quarts for top off there isn't much choices.
