Usually the dealer can tell by the vin # or the ID tag on the side of the transmission. W/O knowing all you'll be doing is guessing. My Ford transmission has an ID tag on the drivers side of it. HTH

For starters look at the shape of your pan, its holes, and compare to the gasket pictures.

If the 4R75W is a beefy 4R70W, though, these two could look the same. A check on rock auto shows the same filter and gasket for both trannies, so should be mox-nix.

Since you have the 351 you should have mostly other heavy duty stuff. I suspect amazon's part finder is not that intelligent and is offering stuff for all F150s, despite that your motor may only be in front of a couple options. Try rockauto and getting part numbers.

Well, you could drop the pan and take your filter to a parts store and get the one that is similar. But since it seems like you don't want to give your vehicle any down time, write down your VIN, give it to the Ford parts man and buy your filter there.

Follow the link below to the section on the Vehicle Sticker. Your transmission, rear axle, spring, etc., are all coded. This is separate from the VIN.

My vehicles are both Chrysler and the dealer printed out by VIN# everything that went into the vehicle at the factory. Quite extensive. I suspect other brands have something similar and can give it to you if you stop in. No cost.

Yup. Sounds about right. FWIW Valvoline makes a great full syn Mercon V ATF. Napa carries it.
