Since wpp or wne lost the wal-mart (supertech) account or at least parts of it. They had to sell their products somewhere and Mag 1 is their house brand. No ads , low overhead. Its supertech re-formulsted in a new bottle. Always been decent products . I wouldn't hesitate to use it.just make sure it meets specs for your vehicle.

Mag 1 62555 Full Synthetic Multi-Vehicle Automatic Transmission Fluid - 1 Quart, (Pack of 6) (Automotive)
I have used this fluid in several cars and it performs very well for its intended applications.
You may read another review on here touting that this fluid doesn't meet the Dexron VI requirement.
Of course not, Dexron VI is a lower viscosity fluid and while it is backwards compatible to Dexron III transmissions it can result in lower pressure levels in a worn unit.
Dexron VI is designed for the newer low drag transmissions that GM began using around 2006 it was specificallty designed in regard to issues found with Dexron III in the 6L80E unit. The 6L80E uses direct clutch on clutch (no buffer or steel plate) shifting. This makes the trans more efficient, but also causes alot of wear on the fluid.
Dexron VI is similar to Ford's Mercon SP specification.

As you can see they are similar, but the Dexron VI is a much thinner fluid. A 1.3 point change may not sound like much, but it makes for a about a 25% thinner fluid.
Nothing wrong with either fluid, just different specifications. While this fluid may meet the wear and durability requirements , you cannot simultaneously meet Dexron III and Dexron VI the viscosity specifications are too far apart.
