This suddenly occured to me:

with FP being such a good cleaner, I was wondering if FP can be used to clean Mass Airflow Sensors...
normally this is done with Windex, Electrical cleaner, Isoprop.alc. and such; rarely brake ecleaner.

I cleaned the MAF on my 4.6L mod T-bird engine a few months ago with electrical contact cleaner, and it did make a difference, but still there was some dark stuff left on one side of one element...and I was thinking of using something stronger next time...

Would FP be too harsh on the plastic coating around the MAF wires? I still haven't seen FP so I don't know its consistency; is it something that would easily evaporate?

Thanks..

You want something that is safe to the sensor, and will evaporate quickly, and not leave any residue. I don't think that FP fits the bill. Stick with contact cleaner, or alcohol.
