What tranny does a 97 Chrysler Sebring jxi with the 2.5 V6 have?
What is a good choice for fluid for this vehicle?

It was probably originally specced for ATF+3 or 7176. Everything was back specced to ATF+4, which is backward compatible. I ran it in a 1990 Ram 1500. Bottom line- cant go wrong with ATF+4.

+1 I believe ST makes an ATF +4. With the strict guidlines used to make +4 I would use the ST with confidence.

Must be the "good old" 41TE. Only use +4 and no additives.Very dainty/finicky trans.
