From Polaris Labs.

Elemental Analysis:
Silicon; 5 ppm
Moly; 75
Boron; 155
Magnesium; 405
Calcium; 1968
Phos; 889
Zinc; 1023

KV100 = 12.4 cSt
TBN = 9.71
Oxidation = 18
Nitration = 7

This is what I'm currently running in the Camaro. Elemental analysis came out pretty much where I expected, although Phos may be 5% low. Viscosity came in at 12.4, and I was expecting 12.6. So I have the heaviest 30 imaginable, instead of the lightest 40.

I like it! Great blend!

I WISH we got M1 HM oils up here, but nada. I've thought about making a heavy 30-blend like this out of M1 0W-40 and M1 0W-20.

I thought of blending M1 0w20, but looking at the VOA's, I didn't like the looks of the additive package, mostly because the zddp content is at the API minimum of 600 ppm. I think a better 0w20 to blend with M1 0w40 would be Toyota's. The adpak's are very close.

^^^ Kind of like how I have reservations about blending Red Line's 0W-20 with their 0W-40, since that would actually lower the high VI of their 0W-40, albeit the stout add packs are probably VERY close.

Whereas the Sustina 0W-20, even though a weaker add pack, and with little to no POE in the basestock blend, would actually raise the VI of a blend with it and RL 0W-40.
