Oil recommendation for 94 Legacy 2.2

looking for an oil recommendation for a 1994 Subaru Legacy wagon AWD with auto 2.2 N/A I am picking this up tomorrow to use as a new commuter I am new to Subaru's I have heard the 2.2l is a tank so it should be fine with most oils correct ?
I am looking at running either Mobil super HM 10w-30 or 5w-30. I am leaning towards the 5w-30 for cold temps and that little bit better start up pumpability and the 1/10th mpg improvement in mileage

I drive 50 miles per day to and from work round trip 80 percent highway. Thanks in advance

Good choice. Change to a high mileage oil if it's leaking at cam seals, valve covers, etc.

Yep, the 2.2's are nice and an HM 5W-30 sounds like a good plan! As long as 5W-30 is specced. I know some of the older subie spec thicker grades.
