Last week I ran across a neat video of how to clean the throttle body of a GM 3.8L engine like mine. (Wouldn't you know it, now I can't find it.) Anyway, it looked like a good thing to check out for my 80K engine (Buick Park Avenue, non-supercharged, runs beautifully). If I take off the hose and everything looks clean, I'll let it be.

I have half a can of liquid Seafoam. Can I use it on a rag to wipe any soft deposits, or do I have to buy a product labeled specifically for "throttle body cleaning"? Not talking about spraying anything in there, just solvent on a clean rag.
