Yea. All I buy now are at least 80plus std with Active PFC. All of my machines meet at least that now. The UCP 900W in my i7 machine is a Silver though, and Silver is probably going to be the new minimum for any power supplies I need to replace though I dont see that happening for awhile...

Case is a Thermaltake Armour MX black.
Motherboard is a MSI 790GX-G65
Ram is Patriot Viper DDR3 2x2Gig sticks
Video card is a MSI Geforce 275 896meg memory

Still have one of those with a Barton on my dedicated "download" rig. It is still the most reliable unit I have ever built (longterm use) besides an old ABIT BX board/700 coppermine unit I built for a customer 10+ years ago. I had to go check the caps on it a few minutes ago as your post got me worried (no swelling, all OK). That ECS board has outlasted 2 Epox/VIA Socket As and one Nforce2 board.

Main rig:

Huge old Enermax full tower. Sooo heavy, but I love it.
i7 920 @3.5
ATI 4870
EX58-UD4P
6 gigs of G-Skill low voltage
Lite On Blu-ray (it was cheap)
BenQ DW1655 Its the only PATA davice I have left, but it does the best quality scans. Can't get rid of it.
Pioneer 215
Samsung S223F
Corsair HX750

Yes, a floppy drive also.

I won't mention the Dell I've been working from, it's too embarassing.

Got a new computer this weekend. I went shopping for a Dell, came back with an HP6310. Pretty fast considering all I use it for is surfing the internet. This is my first HP.

6GB DDR3
1TB HD
AMD 630 processor

I ended up with a 23" monitor and a scanner/printer I didn't need.

I have a few upgrades planned already, just can't leave well enough alone I guess.

(actually, I still have one)...

Running a custom-built Athlon 64 system with an ASUS K8V Deluxe motherboard which is pushing seven years of age now. I upgraded the memory to 1GB of DDR400 (ECC), upgraded the video card to a 128MB version and added (2) WD 1TB drives. I use Fedora Linux 99.9% of the time with a very occasional visit to Win XP Pro.

My latest system is just coming together.
Nothing terribly impressive or unique, but it is bloody fast.

AMD 555 X2 BE Ph-II at 3.8+GHz, tiny voltage boost required to break ~3.7GHz

I'm about to purchase a ~64G SSD, just as soon as I can decide on the model. Leaning toward the a Crucial C300, with the SATA3 interface and stoooopid-fast read bandwidth.
Sennheiser HD280 'phones, driven by an old Luxman stereo amp.
Running Ubuntu, but will install XP realsoon (gotta get the scanner running), and might even pop for W7 sometime down the road.

Couple of my machines have been upgraded along with an addition.

Mom's
AMD Phenom II X3 715 2.8GHz (Heka) [Was the Windsor]
Gigabyte MA770-UD3
4x 1GB GEIL Dragon DDR2-1066 (Running DDR2-800)
Diamond ATi HD3870 512MB [Was the 9800GT]
Pioneer DVD-/+(R)W[DL] SATA
WD Caviar Black 750GB
Antec EarthWatts 650W
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Has a Thermaltake Ultra-120 with a single silent 120mm fan. Also has a 120mm at the front of the case. Case is a generic black "Server" full tower.

Grandma's:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black 3.2GHz (Windsor) [Got the Windsor from Mom's]
Gigabyte MA764-S2H
2x 1GB OCZ DDR2-800
nVidia Geforce 8500GT 512MB
Pioneer IDE DVD-/+(R)W
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 420W
Seagate 7200.10 SATA 250GB
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Some Pink case with two 120mm fans. CPU has Xigmatek 92mm tower cooler.

Unused/Kinda HPC:
Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.2GHz
Biostar P4M900-M4
2x 1GB Corsair DDR2-800 (@ DDR2-667)
nVidia Geforce 9800GT 512MB [Was onboard]
Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit
Pioneer IDE 8x DVD-/+(R)W
Lite-on IDE 52x CD-(R)W
Seagate 7200.8 250GB SATA
PC Power & Cooling 420W
Has a copper thermaltake cooler on the cpu. Another generic biege case. 3x 80mm fans; one on the front another on the side in a hole I cut and one on the back.
Hope to make this last one a HTPC. Want to get a Video card with HDMI out, a tuner card, and a larger HD.

The desktop bound laptop:
Dell XPS M1330
Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66GHz
2x2GB DDR2-667
WD Caviar Black 7200RPM 160GB
Gentoo Linux 10.1 ~amd64
The touchpad does not work, even in Windows, some sort of hardware issue with it since it appears in the list of devices. Also, the battery is cooked, if you unplug it from the wall it will last about 5-7 minutes then just click off, no warning whatsoever.
