Has anybody used this.I want to try it in my 03 taurus. It is about $5.60 a quart at my local napa. Are they manufacturer approved for all these applications or just claiming to exceed the specifications.

I don't think any of the after market ATF brands are manufacturer approved, they just claim to meet or beat the specs.

Where are you getting the Amalie for $5 shipped?

I did not read EXCEDES all specification specs but, "may be used" and is "INVENTORY OPTIMISED". I think that means that transmissions shops will add an additive package to that fluid to make it meet specs. I prefere to stick with a manufactures RECOMENDED" ATF rather than a one that is suitable for all. JMO Ed

I use Amalie ATF (I think same to Wolf's Head) in my Nissan Maxima 2005 where Matic-K is required. Great product.

Is one fluid having claims of meeting ALL of those specs? That is impossible and if it does claim to meet ALL of them even the CVT specs in that list, something is rotten!! Regular ATF is deadly to CVT transmissions!! I have read horror stories about Honda and other CVTs being filled with regular ATF and needing to be replaced very quickly after that. It is a very expensive mistake that some shops make and it leads me to believe that if you have any CVT in your vehicle you have to watch the shop servicing the car like a hawk because it is a very easy mistake to make and a costly one. I would be very careful with these universal fluids since what works fine in one car can cause misery with another car. I have a Volkswagen but had a Chrysler with the A604 transmission before that and so I have always been very careful about fluids. The A604 that Chrysler used is one of those transmissions that is ruined by pretty much ANY other fluid and that is a known fact. The fluid they required had a specific additive that was needed.

A lot of those specs are mutually exclusive in terms of viscometrics as well.

It is not physically possible to meet the requirements of Mercon LV/ Dexron VI and Mercon V at the same time.

Lets not forget SP and type f.

Is there anything this fluid cannot do !?!?
I wonder if I can use it in my space shuttle?

Edit ... Oh wait, never mind. International Hy-Tran is not listed ... There goes that idea .... Darn it!
