What Is Your Dealer's Policy On NPF?

That's a good observation -- I've noticed that too when I've dealt with dealerships vs independent shops. It's always nice to get to talk with someone who knows what's going on and will actually give you details if you can show them you know what you're talking about too (as a customer). At least one of the service writers at one of the dealerships here I've gone to has in my experience been pretty knowledgeable too, which is helpful.
 
The thing for the service advisor to do is always have a good understanding with the customer UP FRONT about diagnosis charges.
