Oil Filter Flow Direction?

Hi guys. I just bought a remote filter housing
that dosen't have the inlet and outlet marked,
and need to verify the flow direction through
an oil filter.

Is the oil pumped into the outer holes of the filter,
through the media and then out the center hole?

That's correct for 99.99% of spin-on filters. There are some with a reverse flow pattern.

I appreciate all of you confirming this for me.
I don't know why this filter mount wasn't marked,
since it's so important. I plan to use it as a
remote ATF filter, and needed to be absolutely sure
of the flow direction.

I was looking at a flex-a-lite remote adapter kit. I am seriously considering a remote to expand the size of my filter. I feel the filter on the Northstar engine is small.
