Champ labs and they are cheap and [censored], I know alot will disagree that there is nothing wrong with that plastic cage holding the paper inside, but few will disagree you would be better off with a Wix, Purolator or Napa, for little or no extra money. I would use a Fram before one of those new Champ plastic cage filters. Look down inside the hole, youll see what I mean.

It's nylon, not just any old plastic. The e-core is very strong. It takes a lot of pressure to crush one.
 
I have no problem using an Ecore. They've just gotten a little expensive compared to other offerings.
