I never did use it, and understood that there was supposed to be (before this announcement) more collaboration between Automatix and Ubuntu.

By using the Linux Mint Distribution based on Ubuntu with it's added bells and whistles, did not need to use automatix.

I assume now that Ubuntu will soon release the final 8.04 version of Ubuntu that soon after we will see a later version of the Gnome version on Linux Mint based on the new Ubuntu Release.
