I have a 92 LS 400 with a main seal leak.

I am now doing my rinse cycle using Rotella Dino 15-40

Some has suggested using 10-40 Maxlife once I am done with the rinse.

Does Maxlife work well with AutoRX with regard to the leaking rear main seal.

AutoRX cleans away the gunk around the seal and allow fresh oil to soften the seal. Wouldn't Maxlife with its seal conditioners be good after AutoRx is done with the cleaning?

To stop a seal leak you need to run two rinses. I'd switch back to an oil weight recommended by the manufacturer.

Once the leak has stopped you could run a 3 oz ARX maintenance dose. I don't think you'll get an advantage in keeping the leak from coming back by using Maxlife.

I think that Malife tend to swell seals such as on valve stems.
Regarding crankseals, I think sticking with dino oil for at least another OCI is best.

Swelling is not good for crank seals.
