ZF6 fluid expire?

I just bought some unopened ZF6 fluid bottles off of Facebook marketplace, 7 quarts for 50 bucks, can't really go wrong. But the manufacturer date says 2016.... I wasn't sure if this was going to be an issue or not, considering that it's supposed to be a lifetime fluid. I've also read that some transmission fluids have a shelf life of 5 years.

5 year shelf life? Nonsense. There are tons of cars with 20+ year old atf in their transmissions that have never had a change and still shift perfectly. That oil is perfectly fine.

Agreed.....that is some good high end syn German fluid
