I just got back from my amazing trip around Europe but nothing shocked me like the cost of living in Norway. This was a 4 liter bottle of Mobil 1. If you're wondering what the conversion rate is. 6 kronor = 1 USD. That wasn't a typo.

and I bet because of the high cost of living, most motorists in European countries would vouch for long OCI as a result.

Q.

My b-i-l worked on an oil rig in Norway and told me that a beer cost $15 (each bottle).
Socialism is expensive.

Wow that's unbelievable, somewhere worse than Australia. No wonder they want to do 15000 to 20000 km OCI's

I was paying about USD 12 for cheap beers at the bar.

There are some better deals - in Germany there are stores like Autozone/Advance Auto/Pep Boys etc that discount .
Someone posted last year with pics showing Mobil 1 for around $10/liter .

Yes. You can even check the current conversion rate if you don't believe it.

Wow you'd think that would help keep a lid on Alcoholism wouldn't you?

Pricing in various markets is indeed interesting.
What's amazing to me is that some Norwegians will actually pay that price. Here in NA not a single bottle would be sold I'm sure. I for one would be using a cheap dino exclusively.
